Oak Tree Meadow

We are a small quiet family farm site set in a beautiful natural environment. Deer, badger and fox are regular visitors to the farm and you will see and hear many species of birds including hawk, owl and buzzard.

Our peaceful, spacious meadow is a perfect place to pitch your tent on the level well mown grass, relax and enjoy the exploring the New Forest area.   We also have 4 hardstanding pitches with electric hook up that will take motorhomes up to 8 meters.  Regretfully we are unable to accept groups exceeding two units with a combined total of 4 adults and 4 children.

Our toilet and shower facilities are limited due to the Covid pandemic and not open at all from 1st April to 27th May or 1st September to 1st October, therefore we are only accepting campers with their own toilet and shower facilities at these times, however chemical and grey water disposal points remain open along with drinking water and outside wash up areas.   The main shower/toilet areas (only open on a limited basis from 27th May to 1st September 2021) and chemical disposal point is accessible via 6 steps.  We do recommend that guests bring and use their own toilet/shower facilities where possible as we only offer limited access during the Covid pandemic.

The Paddock has an outside dish washing area and water point.  In addition to our main toilet block we provide portable toilets and hot shower in Oak Tree Meadow.  We also have a fridge for campers to use (not available during Covid).  The Paddock shower/toilet areas and chemical disposal point is accessible via 6 steps.  Our Toilets and Showers are only open from 27th May to 1st September, during which time we only accept motorhomes and caravans with their own bathroom facilities, chemical and grey water disposal points remain open along with drinking water and outside wash up areas.

Dogs are most welcome (maximum 2 per pitch), but must be kept on a lead at all times and not be left unattended in units.  Owners must clean up after their dogs and deposit waste in the bins.  A dog walk runs adjacent to the site.

The train that trundles past the site during the day (not all night) gives visitors a great car free break.  Dogs and bikes can be taken on the train giving good links to explore local forest / costal villages, larger towns such as Southampton and Bournemouth or even the Isle of wight with a great cycle track from Yarmouth to Freshwater.

The peaceful enjoyment of our farm and its surrounding natural habitat is very close to our hearts and is dependent upon the courtesy and consideration of all our visitors.  As a small quiet family holiday farm we do not tolerate inconsiderate behaviour.  We ask that all light and noise pollution be kept to an absolute minimum.

“A small home from home. Many wonderful personal touches. Sitting at the forgot watching the horses graze in front of us was a lovely way to spending the evening.”
